Whitewater Exprerience

10th Feb. A new experience but rather unexpectedly. The plan was to go for a picnic and dip in the cool stream in Ulu Slim, our second trip here, and perhaps a hike up the hills. There were no enthusiastic response to the hike proposal but quite a number wanted to try whitewater rafting. So rafting it is and I didn't know really what to expect except to be ready to get wet. Turns out that it's an enjoyable group activity though  more difficult than I thought. Difficult because we got stuck numerous times and us - 5 in the raft+ the 2 guides have to move around a lot to tilt the raft left, right, front and rear to get out of the sticky situation and get us moving again.
The rafting took more two hours and I didn't think we travel very  far. There were rapids all along right from the word go! At one point all 5 of us ere thrown out of the raft but the 2 guides amazingly did not! We got back on again quickly but not before swallowing some water. Helmets and life jackets are definitely a must! At RM160 a head not exactly cheap and that's after a RM30 discount but  I think it's worth it for something you don't do very often.
