Long Weekend CNY

The long CNY weekend just passed. Last year we did go to Terengganu for the holidays, somehow this year I didn't feel like going anywhere though we did visit a friend in Kulim. It has been raining heavily the on the last 4 consecutive days and that was relief - it was ever so hot the last few weeks. Some fire crackers was heard over the holidays but not too much. Those raids and enforcement by the customs must have been effective. I remember a couple of years back when they did allow fire crackers over a few days during the CNY - it was all maddeningly noisy. Some crackers sounded like bombs and in many palces it went on till late into the night. Thanks heaven it doesn't happen now - that's a sign of the times that people are more sensible these days.
