Giant in a souq.

A new landmark just opened in Alor Star situated at the junction of Jalan Langgar and Jalan Tun Razak. They called it "Souq " - where the new market is going to be. The building looked different from other buildings in town for it is of Moghul/Moorish architeture. Also in it is Giant Hypermarket just opened on Saturday 14th. Traffic is always heavy on Jalan Langgar, so on that Saturday traffic was reduced to a crawl as a result of shoppers flocking to the Giant Supermarket. Traffic around the area is going to get worse from now on especially weekends and during festive season like now. I thought that big supermarkets should be located outside of town to avoid congestion.
