Hot in Alor Star

It is more than warm now in Alor Star with temperature in the house at 35 deg C. That is the problem with living in this type of house now common in most 'taman' where urban people live. Traditional wooden house in the kampung where I grew up was never this hot. Something ought to be done to inprove the design of these supposedly modern houses. Not too long ago someone did do an example of a house that uses little power to cool itself however I have not heard of it since. As always, good ideas are difficult to be accepted generally. As it is I had to install 2 units of 1-HP air condition in the house so we can sleep in comfort, more would be installed if I had a bigger family. For now I just pray that the rain would come and that if it does rain please come in just small amounts everyday.
