WA!

This 2nd.visit to WA is more than a decade after the first one. This time around we decided to go further. So rented a car and drive the 500km+ from Perth to Albany. It was a cold rainy day otherwise uneventful. However, glad to make the trip as it gave a glimpse of rural Australia, and sampled small town hospitality.

CH again.

Somehow this time around it feels colder than usual though the night temp is around 21 deg.
This is working trip so not doing any touristy activity.
There's a new native people settlement built by the government. Proper concrete houses with electricity and piped water. About 150 houses altogether.
The problem with building on hillsides are always stability and scouring when it rains.
People have settled in but there are more to be done to make the place safe and comfortable for residents.

Farewell indeed.

Moving speech in this farewell. Understandably it has to be said and it was said very well and I'm sure it moved many in the audience. Bravo comrade.
Have a good retirement life!
