Paint a wall

That's what was accomplished during the weekend. The house was much run down but after few visits during the past year we did managed to bring about some order but there's still too much to be done inside and out. Some serious planning is required before our next visit so that substantial accomplishment can be achieved during our usually short-stay.
Departed for Ptjya 10mins before 7am to escape the returning crowd on Sunday and we were home at 11.30am with stops for breakfast at Kg.Gajah and early lunch at Wetland Cafè.

Weekend projects.

Completed two weekend projects, functional alright but finishing not very satisfactory.
The lantern requires a strong ceiling but what we have is plaster ceiling. Luckily there's access manhole nearby and a wooden bar placed over the ceiling supports above the lantern did the trick.
Then the wall fan; power cable needed to punch through the wall. With only short drill bits available a hole was drilled from both ends. Luckily they met in the middle!
Now I can enjoy the verandah:))

Fever!

Normally fever starts with a bit of sore throat, then rise in body temperature (this is the worst phase with headache) then ends with flu and/or cough. But this time just the temperature, no cough no flu. It was an uneasy night going through the worst phase. Luckily I.m already on a 2-day leave. Its a gentle reminder from Almighty that we're under His mercy. Thanks Allah its all over now after abour 36 hrs.

Cafe with a view

A number of restaurants have opened in ayer8 since its opening. This nice one is the latest and it has a very good view out of the windows. Food is OK (breakfast), but main meals have  prices way above average.
