Eidul Adha 2015

EidulAdha falls on Thursday so took a day's leave and there you are a long weekend. As it happened we went balek kampong, thankfully the journey was uneventful. On the way back we decided to go via the coastal road and it was a much longer journey than I thought; had dinner at the seafood center in Jeram and finally got home at 10.30pm. We departed Beruas at about 3.30pm.

Beautiful flower we had to take home some!

Bird on the wires of the telegraph poles...

Shopping small-town style

Women preparing eiduladha lunch

Remembered that we stopped by this restaurant during our  cycle tour some months back.

Haze thicker than shown in the picture, hence no cycling this Sunday.

Ayer@8

This place have become popular of late. Many mid-priced restaurants plus regular mamak. The Bank Rakyat Branch have relocated from near Paar to here. At 8.30pm parking space is almost full. We are here today for roti canai.( @rm3 inclusive of gst.)
Just across the road is a condominium complex under construction. Once the condos are completed and occupied, Ayer@8 will be busy round the clock.

KTM SJ Stn

I think I've wrote abt this SJ KTM/Lrt Stn before. There's still lots to do before infra and facilities here are ready. Passengers just need to be patient. Its 4 oclock and at this hr there's  a train every 20 minutes.

Hazy week.

Its been hazy all week. It was better yesterday but this morning it's gotten worse. Today being a holiday didn't stop me cycling though. There were noticeably a lot less riders compared to normally seen on a holiday morning.
Did a total of 40kms; its been sometime since I did that kind of distance. And the bonus was that the haze improved as the day proceeded.

What's Segamat famous for?

This was our first visit to Segamat. We probably have been through here aeons ago before the highway was built but I can't recall.
Anyway, the road from Tangkak to Segamat was winding through mostly palm plantations. Luckily at 9.00pm there was not much traffic.
The VIP Hotel looks new though we did not stayed there; room rate was about RM200.00 - more than I expected. We had breakfast at a local coffee shop and the bill for ten of us was just RM47.00.
