Child prodigy

This boy showing us his piano skills in preparation for his music exams. He's quite good! This is in stark contrast to what we went through during our children days. (Well 50yrs is a long time!). One can just imagine what he does everyday of his young life.

Iftar

Simple iftar courtesy of a mosque in Subang. This happens in all mosques all over the world as the sun sets during this fasting month. In busy KL, some may have to break their fast in the car, bus or train.

PD XPDC

The weekend of 13&14th June 2015 saw us in PD. This is a long awaited outing and a last one before the fasting month. This trip would also be my second cycling trip to PD, the first time was in June 2012 (almost exactly 3 years ago).
The plan was to cycle to PD on Sat and return by bike the next day. Well we only got the first part of the plan executed. However this time we went a different route, instead of the going through the climbs of Bukit Pelandok, we went via Sg. Pelet and Kg. Kuala Lukut. On this route we had to cross two rivers on boats. A much more interesting ride on this route because for all of us the boat crossings were a novelty and we were first timers on that particular part of the country.
The first crossing was a regular ferry run privately and charges 80 sen for a cycle and rider combo. There is no regular passenger ferry service at Kuala Lukut but there are boat running around sending anglers to therir destinations out to sea and we hailed one to get us across the river. So we made it across safe with our bikes and costs the five of us RM50.00.
It was already almost 3.00pm when we got across and decided to end the ride. Total distance was 61km.
The rain on Sunday Morning dampen our spirit somewhat and decided to return by car. On the way back we went through Bukit Pelandok hills and saw what it looks like and glad that we didn't go through this route yesterday. The rolling hills would have tortured us. Can't recall how hard the ride was 3 years ago and I was on the 8-speed Dahon then!
Resting after hellish ride with heavy traffic on the route from Salak Tinggi to Sepang

Useful ferry service can take in motorcycles too.

Kg. Kuala Lukut

Planks to the jetty. If not for the rubbish in the area this would be a very nice place to hang around

APC

A big crowd for this APC event. A reflection of how big the department is. Not an envious job to lead or manage this number of people. Somehow many wants to be at the very top.
