Genting Get-away

Our third Genting get-away at the place. Initially thought there'd be just a few but eventually ended with about 20 people, thankfully the house was big enough to fit everyone comfortably. We didn't bring our bicycles so no riding but managed a short walk of maybe 3km around the area - a bit of sweat since the road was hilly. I thought we could have done a bit more hiking/trekking. A visit to mushroom/vegetable farm was the only touristy thing we did. Other times we were occupied with eating and jamming!
It rained  a bit on both days so was cool, which was nice and comfortable - inside and outside of the house.
Greens on long tables!

How they do it - the hydroponic way.

These are strawberries.

Mushrooms on stacks

Close-up of mushrooms - not the ones usually sold in vegetable markets.

A Paradigm

It is really the name for a shopping mall in Kelana Jaya. It is shiny and new, parking is cheap  only RM1 for the first 4 hours. Yes you can buy reasonably priced clothing etc. But to eat here you must have deep pockets. This bread outlet occupies a large area such that it occurs to me that people prefers to eat pieces of bread/buns to eating in the many restaurants/food outlets. There's hardly any local fare available. We drove out of the mall to eat in Kelana Jaya traditional shophouses area - all kinds of restaurants are in business here though parking might be a problem especially during lunchtime. On our next visit we intend to take along snacks/sandwiched from home.
