Break (fast) at Masjid Besi

The place is familiar though I have not been here for at least six months. We decided to break and do our tarawih here after 3 days at the Putra Mosque. It's been raining today and saw some tree branches broken, must b du to some strong winds. With cooler weather it's expected to be cool in this aircon-less big hall. I remember very well the sweat during tarawih here last year.
They've also installed another row of standing fans. There was a suggestion to put up a large fan but the idea was rejected because it does not go well with the architecture of the interior. But today there is no need for all that - it's windy and cool inside the mosque.

Ramadan 2013

We did something different this year - break fast at a mosque. For two consecutive days already we chose the Putra Mosque because it's comfortable due to the air conditioning. Instead of a tablefull of food, we just ate whatever is served in the mosque. Simple meal indeed but taste just as good as any. Men and women are in different areas so we're on our own. I hardly know anyone and my other half too would be eating quietly alone surrounded by strangers. But everyone is in fact friendly, they'd respond politely if asked about anything.
The crowd is big this first two days but usually dwindle after two weeks.
People leaving after 8 rakaat of tarawikh. About 1/3 went on to complete the whole 23 rakaats.
Dates, a piece of kueh and sirap for breaking fast
Moon clearly visible after 2 days of Ramadan. Sunsets are always beautiful especially at a beach.
The area under this dome is the main prayer hall - its air-conditioned thus our preference for this mosque.
