For the first time ever we have almost 30 people at our house all at the same time. We never thought it would be that many, no wonder it was all so merry. They were the bicycle gang of course - nowadays we see them more like our extended family & a close one at that. At the centre of the event were crabs -  6kilos of it brought back all the way from Kedah. The event went on without much difficulty thanks to the relax nature of the guests - they don't mind sitting anywhere and using paper & plastic cups and plates. The crabs were cooked elsewhere by some friends, the ladies helped in the kitchen, we cooked some, another friend brought nasi lemak so there were enough food to go round. More important everyone enjoys each other's company and that makes the group special.
And so that's how the cycle goes - cycle, photos, talk, eat, enjoy; here in Putrajaya and elsewhere around the world!

Merdeka Day Ride in SA

The date is 31st August 2012,  Merdeka Day no 55 for Malaysia. 12 riders decided to ride in Shah Alam around town. This is the first time we rode around here, previous rides in Shah Alam were confined to the Botanical Park. Shah Alam has wide roads but hardly any room for cyclists, however the day being a holiday it's quite a breeze riding around town with little traffic. Quite a few climbs - Shah Alam is no so flat! The roundabouts were quite challenging to maneuver especially in a big group but no problem for us today because of our small number and little traffic. As usual the outing ends in a food bash - at Hatinie in seksyen 13.
