737-800 to Penang

This particular MAS's 737-800 used to be Firefly's plane, I know because it's written somewhere as one entered the plane. The plane got a curved up wing tip so I knew before boarding that it's not the usual 737-400 that the airline nomally uses on domestic routes. This is a newer plane compared to the 400 series which must be more than 10 years old.
Arrived in Penang and into a new arrival area, but only half finished, passengers have to walk through construction area - but shielded from construction debris/ativities and I think is quite safe. But one can never know, danger lurks everywhere and edges of tiled area are not finished yet and might catch someone's heel. In my opinion, it is better to build a new terminal building and only then refurbish the existing one, that way passengers are spared of a lot of inconvenience and easier for contractors to do their work.

Perhentian

Lovers of the sea, sand and sun would love Perhentian Island off the coast of Terengganu. The sea is unbelievable clear and blue, the sand very fine and soft and the sun shone bright (maybe too bright in the hot afternoon). The beaches are simply majestic. Not too many tourists, which is good. But I saw some dead corals near Coral View Resort, almost certainly due to pollution. I think it'll get worse as time goes by, but if growth of visitors are slow, the rate of deterioration maybe slow also. One advantage the place have in that the resorts are closed for 3 months a year during the monsoon, that perhaps can give a bit of a breather for the place to recover. I'd like to see the Government assist the residents and resort operators here to adopt green practices.
