Flooded fields

Too much rain. Farmers are facing losses again this season but I thought not as many farmers are affected as last year but still misery for some people for a few villages are inundated with water.

5-star Banding

The Banding guesthouse is now called Banding Rainforest Resort (or something like that). The place has been refurbished, the landscape is very nice and the restaurant first class. And the toilets especially are very well designed and of course clean. There's a price to pay - the menu in the restaurant are similar to some five-star hotels in KL, that means a plate of fried rice is in the region of RM20.00++.

Cameron & Lojing

There really is not much to see and do in Cameron Highlands after being here several times over the years. Lots of dirty 4wds reminds you that the main activity around here is vegetable farming. However the view over the rolling hills on the tea plantation still is magnificent. Elsewhere things are not so pretty, which is a shame. Some hill-cutting is visible around Brinchang, but over in Lojing the forest is transformed into farmland in a grand scale. One should really think twice about consuming highland produce.
