PICC Putrajaya

I was in Putrajaya International Convention Center for the first time in August 2007 for a 2-day meeting. Very nice & spacious meeting place. The participants were seated in light-coloured leather-bound executive chairs with state-of-the-art AV facilities. At the cafe one can have a nice view of Putrajaya below while having lunch at the verandah. One reminder though, if you come for a morning meeting, make sure you have breakfast at home or on the way to here for the cafe don't open early.

Sg.Raja 2007

This is a view of Sg.Raja right in the centre of town in Jalan Teluk Wan Jah. It looks like a big concrete drain and the water is murky. If you look closely at the picture, in the foreground you can see a snake-like head protruding out of the water - it is the head of a monitor-lizard! Could there be fish in the water as well? What does the monitor-lizard feed on? Old timers in Alor Star recalled that in their younger days the water in this river was crystal-clear and that they used to swim in it. Those days are long gone and we can only dream that one day the water in this river is going to be clear again.
