Delayed (slow) train.

There is only one express train from K.Lumpur to Alor Star daily called the Langkawi Express. The train departs KL Central 8.45pm and arrives in Alor Star at 8.34am the next day. That is an 11 hours and 49 minutes's journey. That's terribly slow compared to between 5 - 6 hours by road. But this morning the rain arrived at 11.00am after departing at about 9.00pm last night - it took a full 15 hours to get to Alor Star from KL. The distance between KL & As is about 500km, so that gives an average speed of 33km/hr. Pity those passengers! Reminds me that many aspects of life here are still far from developed status.
