Time Flies!!

It's almost the end of August & just 4 months left to the end of the year. Time moves unbelievably fast. Things are happening and just sitting here looking at events around the world makes me wonder if I'm making the most of the current situation. How about moving house and work elsewhere? After all, I've been here in Alor Star for more than 12 years. Hardly any time was made available to consider career moves, but decisions must be made soon otherwise others might decide things for us. Going overseas next month for an International Conference, soon after it will be the fasting month, then the exams for the children then the holidays, not to mention the usual end-of-year busy period, December would come in no time. A long weekend coming due to the Independent Day holiday - maybe I should take a break.

Power Window Relay

The car power locks won't lock, it can unlock but not lock all the doors. The culprit is a relay sitting inside the driver's door - a black box the size of a cigarette box. Went to a car accessory shop - that's how I got to know of the problem but they don't have spares. Went to my usual mechanic and he suggested that I look for a used part myself from a motor cut-shop. This was the first time that I'd been to such place in Alor Star & managed to get a replacement part from a similar car-door lying at the back of the workshop at RM50.00. Replaced the thing myself and whoa! it works like new and that makes me feel good.
